Eligibility Criteria:
The Department of Nutrition would like to invite you to apply for an MSN scholarship. Scholarship awards may vary from $500 to $2,500 and will be awarded in the Spring 2024 semester! Applications for a Fall 2024 awards will open soon!
Eligibility requirements include being accepted into the MSN program (if a new student), enrollment in at least one MSN course at the time of the award, demonstration of commitment to the profession and strong writing skills in the scholarship essay responses, meeting Academic Standing Policies of the MSN program. Details concerning this scholarship are emailed to all enrolled graduate students when the scholarship application cycle approaches.
This fund provides scholarships for students entering MSU Denver’s Dietetic Internship Program in honor of long-time, dedicated Department of Nutrition faculty members, Dr. Bruce Rengers and Dr. Cynthia Dormer.
Application Timeline: This scholarship will open on September 1, 2023 and close on September 30, 2023.

The HRSA-Nutrition Scholars Program application is currently open.
Apply by 1/10/2024 for Spring 2024 funding. This application will also be used for next academic year, Fall 2024 – Spring 2025.
Apply by 3/31/2024 for the 2024 – 2025 academic year scholarships.
The HRSA-Nutrition Scholars Program is designed to help cover college costs including tuition, fees, insurance, books, computer, supplies, and living expenses while pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition – Dietetics, Nutrition and Dietetics, or as an undergraduate student in the Nutrition and Dietetics Accelerated BS to MS program. Awards are available for low-income and/or first-generation college students enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits per semester) who demonstrate financial need through submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In addition to receiving funds to cover college costs, HRSA-Nutrition Scholars will participate in multiple program activities throughout the academic year.
As part of the HRSA grant, the Department of Nutrition offers undergraduate students studying dietetics at MSU Denver the opportunity to apply for the HRSA-Nutrition Scholars Program which can award up to $40,000 per student per year.

The POHA-Denver Diversify Nutrition Scholarship and Stipend Program scholarship will open from March 1st until April 30th. Dietetic Internship Applicants must wait to apply after confirmation of matching to the DI program.

Open to undergraduate students. Preference shall be given to students who are Nutrition and Dietetics, Nutrition Science, and/or Nutrition Studies majors, students who intend to pursue careers in physical therapy, and students who help other veterans achieve success at school.

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation offers scholarships to Academy members enrolling in dietetic internships. To be considered for Academy Foundation scholarships, you must complete the Academy Foundation scholarship application as directed on the Academy Foundation scholarship website.
It is undeniable that the cost of entering the field of dietetics is a HUGE barrier to the diversity of the nutrition profession. This barrier is one that Diversify Dietetics have had a goal to address and now they are thrilled to launch the Diversify Dietetics Scholarships and Grants.
